I. Technical R&D
In Q4 2022, the industry's first automatic enameling line for electric heating tubes of electric water heaters was successfully developed with breakthrough progress. This production line integrates the most advanced industry processes, using fully automated equipment to achieve a "workpiece-never-touches-the-ground" and "uninterrupted-process" production model. It enables one-flow continuous production of multiple processes, including online dip enameling & cleaning, online wet enameling drying, online enamel firing, and online AB glue coating & drying for heating tubes. If space permits, the exhaust ventilation process can also be integrated into the automated line. With a capacity of 200 units/hour or higher (designable on demand), it solves long-standing industry issues such as backward processes, low efficiency, high labor costs, high energy consumption, low automation, poor quality, and low pass rates—all typical of manual, small-workshop production models. The line is now entering the technical design phase.
In Q4 2022, our company successfully developed a new automatic pickling basket for water heater liners and applied for a patent. This basket can directly be compatible with the production of single-tank, dual-tank, and small-kitchen water heater liners without needing replacement for different liner types. It also enables robot automatic loading and transfer, and will soon be applied to mixed production of electric water heater liners (single-tank, dual-tank, and small-kitchen types) at Chongqing Haier and Russia Haier. Other R&D projects are progressing steadily.
II. Scientific & Technological Project Applications
In Q4 2022, we actively applied for tech projects. Our applications for 2022 Innovative SMEs, Guangdong Famous High-Tech Products, Dongguan Famous High-Tech Products, and Science & Technology-Based SMEs were all approved. We are also applying for projects including the China Patent Excellence Award, Guangdong Patent Excellence Award, Science & Technology Progress Award, and Guangdong Specialized & Innovative SMEs. Meanwhile, we are committed to becoming a benchmark enterprise for the China Enamel Industry Association’s "Three Products" strategy (increasing varieties, improving quality, creating brands).
III. Q4 2022 Sales
In Q4 2022, our company maintained growth, signing contracts for projects such as automatic cleaning lines for electric water heater liners, automatic enameling lines for dual-tank liners, and 500L large-capacity liner automatic enameling lines, with full implementation to ensure progress. By late 2022, multiple projects—including water heater liner enameling lines, enameled steel plate lines, pretreatment powder spraying lines, and electrophoresis coating lines—entered commercial negotiation, with project confirmation expected by 2023. In December 2022, our subsidiary Dongguan TIMS Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. signed a contract with China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute (CNEARI) for "Oven and Intensive Cooling Equipment for Indonesia Honda Coating Line". With years of friendly cooperation, including overseas projects in Indonesia and Vietnam, we have consistently delivered high-quality equipment on schedule, winning unanimous customer recognition.
IV. In-Factory Production, Shipment, & On-Site Installation
01. In-Factory Production
In Q4, with continuous order inflow, production tasks were heavy and schedules tight. Multiple lines entered production, including pretreatment lines, automatic enameling lines, and gas enameling furnaces for Chongqing Haier; automatic enameling machines for Jiaonan Haier’s 500L liners; Sino-German Haier’s dual-tank enameling lines; and the Indonesia Honda coating line. To ensure on-time delivery, all departments—R&D, design, procurement, production, and electrical engineering—operated at full capacity. Staff stayed at their posts and worked overtime through the COVID-19 peak to meet deadlines.
02.Zhongshan Galanz Automated Enameling Line Installation & Debugging
Through close teamwork, the Zhongshan Galanz water heater liner automated enameling line was fully installed in October and entered debugging and trial production. The line’s gas enameling furnace uses energy-efficient self-preheating WS burners with P-type radiant tubes (German imported Inconel 601 high-temperature material for P-type tubes) and waste heat for wet enameling drying, ensuring low energy consumption and long lifespan. It will set a new benchmark for advanced water heater industry lines.
03.Sino-German Haier Dual-Tank Enameling Line Shipment, Commissioning, & Mass Production
Responding to customer requests, the Sino-German Haier dual-tank liner automatic enameling line (robot enameling, drying, and gas firing) was shipped, installed, and debugged nearly 2 months ahead of schedule, entering mass production in early December 2022. This industry-first automated line features integrated equipment, advanced technology, energy efficiency, and high productivity. The gas furnace uses leading P-type radiant tubes and self-preheating burners, with a waste heat recovery system that utilizes exhaust and furnace top heat for wet drying—eliminating the need for additional heating and significantly reducing energy consumption.
04.Ma’anshan Yuemei Automatic Enameling Line Shipment & Commissioning
The Ma’anshan Yuemei automatic enameling line was shipped on October 18, 2022, with main installation completed by late November and trial production starting on December 27. On-site installation faced challenges due to COVID-19 policies, including delayed shipments, forced quarantines for installers, and difficulties in personnel deployment. During the post-policy-relaxation peak of infections, most installers worked while positive, persevering until completion. The line will increase the customer’s annual enameled liner capacity by over 1.2 million units.
V. Acceptance & Delivery of Previous Quarter’s Production Lines
Multiple lines commissioned in the previous quarter—including automated water heater liner enameling lines, water heater shell powder spraying lines, and range hood parts electrophoresis lines—have undergone over six months of full-load testing, demonstrating stable and reliable operation that meets capacity and technical requirements. These lines have been delivered to customers and are either accepted or in final acceptance.
